As a
competitive Real Estate Company, you expend great effort and expense to
present yourself as superior to other companies. You want all your
Realtors to present themselves as professional and knowledgeable so your
clients feel comfortable trusting the guidance and assistance your
Realtors provide. All to often we have observed Realtors who appear unsure how to address the
findings of the home inspection or even in an attempt to be helpful,
provide inaccurate information to their clients . At the very least, there is
inconsistency. This may happen because of a lack of
training dealing with the home inspection process and related issues.

We have developed the perfect solution: Nothing has a more lasting
effect then something visual. We have put together power point
presentation training classes dealing home inspection issues.
1. Home Inspection Overview:
This presentation does more than show the mechanics of a home
inspection, it will help the realtor reduce problems that delay the sales
process and make home buyer's significantly more satisfied with their
realtor. We originally designed this presentation to train new realtors;
however, seasoned top producing agents and office managers have also
found this class of significant value. New agents will appear like
seasoned pros as they prepare and guide their client through the
inspection process. Both new agents and experienced agents will
learn how to prepare the client before the inspection and reduce costly
delays that can often occur due to buyers having been properly educated
about the inspection process before they get to it. The
realtor will learn what is actually required of the inspector to report
as a deficiency by State regulations. An inspector will often
surpass these minimum standards; however, it is the knowledge of that
difference that the realtor can pass on to the buyer so he/she does not
have the false expectation that every little reported deficiency rises
to the level of something the seller should be responsible to fix. In
addition, if the realtor educates the buyer regarding the State
regulations for the inspector and then
the buyer sees their inspector surpass these standards, the buyer will
tend to be a more satisfied client of the realtor who recommended that
inspector. This will lead to a greater likelihood of future
referrals and repeat business for the realtor. (1 hour
presentation)
2. State's Standards
For those experienced agents who are very familiar with the nuts and
bolts of the home inspection process we offer this shorter presentation
of an overview of how they can use the Home Inspectors State Standards
of Practice for home inspectors to properly prepare the client for the home inspection.
This is an unknown resource to most if not all Realtors. We can
make two promises. This class will help reduce the potential of a
lost deal due to misunderstanding by a homebuyer of the purpose and
scope of a home inspection and it will show the Realtor that home
inspection can be one more piece of their marketing puzzle to create
future business. (1/2 hour presentation)
4. Radon - Stare of CT radon
certification for home inspectors:
A new state of Connecticut radon certification program was rolled
out in October of 2006. This certification has been offered to
home inspectors. Any home inspector who has been certified will be
listed on the web site of the State of Connecticut Dept Health.
Why do realtors need to be informed about this. First you will want your
clients getting their radon tests done by a certified inspector.
Secondly, there is a role of cooperation realtors must play to insure
that the certified inspector is able to produce valid tests results.
You don't want to waste time retesting because test results were
invalid. Ask us in so we can show you what you need to know.
5. Six Environmental Issues Related to Home Sales:
We have put together an overview of the six environmental issues we
are most often asked about by our clients. It has been our
experience in presenting this class to even the most experienced agents
that there are many misconceptions about these topics. Our class
will help reduce these misconceptions and help the realtor present
accurate information to their client. The six topics covered are:
(1 hour presentation)
Radon
Asbestos
Lead Based Paint
Formaldehyde
Toxic Mold
EMF (Electric & Magnetic Fields)
We will customize our presentations to fit your need. For example, if
you only want to learn about one of the environmental subjects above, we
will create a class just for that subject. In fact, if there is any home
inspection related subject not mentioned here that you would like to
here about we will be happy to prepare a class on that subject.
Our teachers are experienced public speakers. In
addition to the many dozens of real estate offices we have presented our
classes in, we also have years of experience teaching courses for
continuing education at real estate schools an associations.
